Rope Access: new special area at the ArbeitsSicherheit Schweiz

Rope Access

Sometimes it’s impossible to use conventional access methods such as aerial work platforms or scaffolding - either because they are too dangerous, costly or material-intensive.

That’s when height specialists enter the picture: industrial climbers that take to dizzying heights and depths and use rope-supported access techniques for installations, maintenance or cleaning work.

There are several risks and hazards involved that come with working in areas that are difficult to access. A brief moment of inattentiveness can lead to a fall, which is why the safety aspect is key when working in heights.

Learn more about the right techniques, appropriate equipment and protective clothing, suitable trainings and further education, how to behave in case of an emergency, and much more. Test innovative products, learn about services and get in touch with the providers.
